Building a Glorious Church

This course helps us understand the true meaning of tithing, and teaches us how to manage our finances with right hearts. We have heard testimonies of people who started tithing in faith and have been blessed; others re-evaluated their attitudes toward money, and there were others who fled the bondage of greed and regained relationship with their families with joy. There were also others who started the habit of saving, quitting poor investment decisions. This course helps brothers and sister to have a right view about finances, to be blessed in the area of finances, and be a steward of money that God has given us, in order to manage finance wisely to give Him glory.

After the Equip Course “How to Worship a King”, we gained some new insights. Firstly, we learned about worship with a more holistic view through Scripture knowledge; and secondly, we saw that God values a love relationship, and this makes us want to build an intimate relationship with Him. The course also points out that we are to be lampstands instead of candlesticks: candlesticks will be consumed eventually after burning, but lampstands can continue to give light as long as oil is provided. And prayer is the oil that would keep us going.

This course has helped brothers and sisters to experience God’s presence and see the work of the Holy Spirit in these two days. I have heard many testimonies from these people saying how they have gained spiritual freedom, and that the course is very practical, not just a lesson in theory. Through “Tabernacle Worship”, we have found the right view of worshipping God, which enabled us to worship God with our true hearts. After the course, I see a different atmosphere during worship at the church, and that is “Desiring God”; I see that people have learned how to enter the stream of praise and worship.

This is a course with elements of Truth, and I see fruits in the congregation after we attended the course. The cohesiveness of all topics introduced makes it applicable for me, and has moved me greatly. “The Supernatural Ways of Royalty” was inspiring for those who have been Christians for a long time, and “Tithing” also helps people and churches enter the journey of blessings and grace. After all course sessions, there were responding time, prayers, and even serving opportunities. I feel that it’s not just a course, but a full service that leads people to experience God personally- this is great!

After attending the course I have learned about serving with a heart of worship. Prior to the course, my understanding of it was like the story of the blind men and an elephant- I only saw worship in terms of the environment, the people, and the music. Only after I finished the course, I then truly understood, the center of worship has to be God! God’s words, God’s heart, an intimate relationship with Him which builds and brings changes in life and transformation…these are all the core values of worship. Without knowing these, we can’t see Him face to face, let alone leading the congregation to experience Him!

The course “The Blessed Life” has taught me about doing the right things, doing things that are after God’s heart and are pleasing to His eyes. After the course, I learned to “dedicate to Him every firstborn”, and so my wife and I decided that every time we get our paychecks, we would take out the first ten percent for tithe, and then pay other bills. During the course I was also convicted to dedicate all the cash I had that day to Asia for JESUS, and afterwards I realized how much blessings God was giving me: the next day I went back to my office, a $400,000 worth of deal, which was stuck for almost a year and half, was secured the very morning!

During class the pastor talked about how God has already given His sons and daughters supernatural power, and all God’s children have the power to pray for healing. A few years ago I had pain on the right side of my stomach and had a cholecystectomy removing my gallbladder. However, pain remained even after the surgery. Pastor led us to lay hands and pray for one another, and when Lacey put her hand on my stomach to pray, I felt heat, churning, and excruciating pain inside my stomach; but when it ended it felt better and a lot more comfortable. Until now I haven’t felt that discomfort and pain since; and I haven’t had stomach bloating or other symptoms that I used to have, things have gone back to normal.

I was crying throughout the very first class, because I‘ve always had this kind of struggle: I know I should have a dream, a goal, but I can’t find it. With all my heart I want to dream, but reality in life has always crushed my dreams. I felt disappointed, but I didn’t know how to fulfill my desires. Now I know how to dream, how to walk in the destiny God has given me!
