Win the Next Generation

Asia for JESUS movement has started with the youth, and our core values rests in preaching, evangelizing and making youths disciples of the nations. It is our desire to win the generation of the young people, to transform campuses, to raise up leaders of the next generation, and to see souls touched by God at a young age. Even though the young people today aren’t the same as before, and youth ministry isn’t easy, we are determined to invest in building up the next generation. We believe that our work is meaningful in the Eternal Kingdom.

Total number of people 7,394 people
People decided to follow Jesus 285 people
Strong Man Jon and Joshua Band travelled throughout Taiwan, and there were a total of 8 conferences held. Through Strong Man Jon’s performance and moving testimony, many of the hearts of the children were comforted, touched and inspired. There was much tears shed in all the sessions. After the conferences our team received many testimonies from various cities and churches, and we saw that the conferences have sowed seeds of the Gospel and changed lives of many.

Testimonies:

In the conference session at Wu Chang Church, Kaohsiung, there was a new comer with rare disease. Growing up he always needed to wear a mask when going to school; he had very little hair, had only two pointy front teeth as incisors, and was bullied from elementary school to junior high throughout. He came to the conference wearing a hat and a mask. He was encouraged and filled with courage after hearing Strong Man Jon’s sharing, and he decided to be a follower of Jesus at the end of conference.
There was a girl who was without arms from birth. When she heard about the conference from her friend, she came from Taipei to Keelung to attend the conference. She used to think of herself as defected, and she hoped that after praying, God would grow out her arms for her. Even though she did not receive healing in that way, she was moved, “Strong Man Jon said to me, even though I may make mistakes, I am not a mistake. I will face failures in life, but I am not a failure! He helped me understand that nobody is a mistake- everyone is unique and special!”
Character Building Camp- The War of Babel

Date:2017/07/03-07/06 Venue: Tunghai University

Total number of people 2,742 people
People decided to follow Jesus 557 People
The biggest and only “Youth Evangelical Camp” in Taiwan, the 10th Character Building Camp improved both in scale and content this year. During the camp we witnessed transformed lives of the youths, as well as incessant moving moments that inspired us to keep going towards the next decade. We will continue to invest in the next generation by training and building up these young people, so that they would be touched by God’s love, becoming the hope and future of Taiwan. There were a total of 2,742 participants this year, 750 unbelievers within the 2,383 students, and 557 people decided to follow Jesus in the camp.
On the second night when Pastor Ewen was praying for everyone, he specifically mentioned praying for those with depression and family members with depression. I was shocked! My two sisters and I all have serious depression. I was touched, because not only God wanted to touch me; He also wanted to touch my family! Later on Pastor Ewen said, “God will turn mourning into dancing.” Dancing is my hobby and so it seemed as if God was saying to me, all the pain and suffering in the past ten years, He would turn to something I love, so that I could worship and love Him with this new strength that He has given me.

I felt a lot of pressure in these past few days. I worried about my studies in school and my job; even though I could smile on the outside, the big wave of anxiety within my heart just wouldn’t go away- I could not find a balance. But on the second night of the camp, Heavenly Father calmed my heart. I stopped worrying about everything. On the third day, He healed the relationship between my mother, my father, my sister and I; I then decided to forgive my father for the hurt he brought me in the past.

-–Chang

I’ve had thoughts about committing suicide. But mom said that that wouldn’t bring me to Heaven, “Because you are undervaluing the life God has given you, willing to throw it away.” Only until I came to the Camp and heard about the sharing from the speakers, I realized my Heavenly Father really does love me. He loves me in the most compassionate way possible, and I now know that I am special, I am great!

Youth Awakening Conference-Calling

Date:2017/08/22-08/24 Venue: Bread of Life Christian Church in Taipei, BOLCC Villa

Training Session 773 people
Evening Meetings 3,256 people
The topic this year was “Calling”. Apart from the main speakers, we also invited evangelists and people who excel in their careers to share their testimonies in the “Awakening Talk”. These testimonies encouraged the young people to search for their callings in life, and the speakers themselves were living testimonies for the youths to follow and emulate.

Testimonies:

On the first night I received a vision. I saw the top three students in my high school class and a lot of other students who did not know Jesus, lining up on a cliff, ready to jump off into the ocean, and I went up to stop everyone. Then the image moved to the next one: I was an usher standing next to the stairs to Heaven, and those who were planning to jump off the cliff were entering Heaven through the stairs following my direction. I think God wants me to lead people to Him by being the usher to Heaven! Sharing the Gospel may seem small, but it pleases God greatly.

uring this time in high school. Friends around me don’t know God, but they are willing to trust me, willing to share things with me, be it big or small. But I never had faith to share the Gospel with them. That night, I felt that God wants me to share the Gospel in my campus. He told me that, with man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible; and I am to trust Him, surrender to Him, so that He can do amazing things.

- Chen

I was filled by God greatly in those three days. I was a leader, and so there were times that were difficult, and times when I would get hurt by people. Often I would look down on myself because what other people say to me. But God spoke to me that night, “Be yourself, I am in charge.” And so I surrendered and let Him be in charge. Then I cried so much hearing Pastor Steve Chong shared about Iraq refugee camp, thinking that these people were all getting killed before turning 30. I told God I was willing to walk on the road of sharing His Grace with people who desperately need it. As I have received grace freely, I am to give freely.
